Cable vaas van Patrick Hartog

This vase is based on the design of the Cable Lights by Patrick Hartog.

Mooring posts found at harbors and winches on boats inspired Patrick Hartog to design these ceramic Cable Lights. The cable is wrapped around the lampshade and gives a unique look to the simple yet aesthetic looking lamp. The metal ring on top ensures that the design is balanced and is a link to the original bollards that are often made of heavy metal. This large is the large version of the Cable Light.

The lamps and vases are made by pouring clay into molds. The original shape was made of plaster on a lathe. Plaster molds are made from this mother mold after which the casting process can begin.
